The men's second XI were also in action at the Naas Sports Centre on Saturday (October 7th). Scoreless at half time, the match sprang into life in the second half. Cory Cooke opened the scoring for the visitors following a one-two with John McWey. Niall Maguire doubled the scoreline shortly after; Billy James had produced a mazy run up the left wing, combining with Cory Cooke who found Maguire for the goal. Naas goaled five minutes later, which set up a nervy final twenty minutes for the Slaneysiders but they held out for a 2-1 win.
