At long last - the new season is edging slowly closer and with it details of our training schedules.

Training for all Junior and Youth players recommences the week Monday the 4th of  September.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday
6 p.m. - 7 p.m. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th class girls

Tuesday
6 p.m. - 7 p.m. 5th and 6th class girls

Wednesday
6.30 p.m. - 8 p.m. 1st and 2nd year girls
 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. junior and youth goalkeeping

Friday
6 p.m. - 7 p.m. U8, U10 and U12 boys
7 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. U14 and U16 boys
8 p.m. - 9.30 p.m. 3rd and 4th year girls


On the following dates there will be no training for any underage players:

• 1st, 2nd and 4th of November
• 17th of December to 6th of January inclusive
• 19th of March
• 26th of March to 7th of April inclusive

Our Junior section (our 1st to 6th class girls and  U8, U10 and U12 boys) will finish up for the season at Easter 2018 (Easter Sunday is April 1st).

Our Youth section (all our other underage members) will finish up for the season on April 20th 2018.

For our adult teams, pre season is looming!

August schedule is as follows:

9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th (Wednesday evenings):

L1, L2 and L3  7.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m
M1 and M2 8.30 p.m. - 9.30 p.m.

From September onwards:

L1 and L2 Monday nights 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
L3 Friday nights 8.30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
M1 and M2 Wednesday nights 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. 

Where there are bank holidays L1 and L2 training is switched to a Wednesday night from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. At present the only exception to this is the week of 26th - 31st of March inclusive.

Looking to keep your hockey going over the summer, or want to give a new sport a try? Enniscorthy Hockey Club is running mixed social hockey each Wednesday night at the Astro Active Centre, Bellefield Road, Enniscorthy between 7.30p.m. and 9p.m. This is for all aged 15+, and you don't even need to be a member to join in!  Please note there is a €5 fee per night to help cover pitch rental costs.  We hope to see you there!

Another successful season was marked recently as Enniscorthy Hockey Club held its Annual General Meeting at the IFA Centre, Enniscorthy

Chairperson Jim Rogan in his speech to club members reflected upon a season with plenty of on-pitch success and thanked all members, coaches and players for their efforts, as well as Marie Dunphy of the IFA Centre for providing a venue for meetings.

On-pitch updates were provided by co-ordinators Deirdre Morris, Lesley Miller, Keith Ogilvie, Irene Doyle, Fraser Rothwell and Pauline Rogan. Underage hockey at the club provided many highlights throughout the season and is continuing to flourish; the hope is that this will continue to feed through to the club's five adult teams. 


New officers for the 2017-18 season were also elected. There was no change in the role of Chairperson, with Jim Rogan taking the position for a further year. Alan Smith has taken the role of Secretary, Laura O'Leary Treasurer, Kieran Costello PRO, Irene Doyle Women's Co-ordinator, Fraser Rothwell Men's Co-ordinator, Lesley Miller Junior Boys Co-ordinator, Deirdre Morris Junior Girls Co-ordinator, Pauline Rogan Youth Boys Co-ordinator, Fiona Kidd Youth Girls Co-ordinator, Club Gear Officer Andrew Rothwell, Hockey Development Officer Donal Doyle, Children's Officer Linda Durnan, Designated Person Eva Clifford, Health and Safety Keith Ogilvie.
