In her report, chairperson Mary Codd reflected on a successful year for the club and thanked all involved for their efforts throughout the season. Treasurer Eva Clifford was in the happy position of being able to report a healthy financial situation for the club; this was echoed in the fundraising report provided by Judith Dunne. In particular, the table quiz hosted at Enniscorthy RFC proved a considerable success, as were the EHC Gathering and the Family Fun Day in April.
There then followed a review of on- pitch activities during the year. Men's co-ordinator Fraser Rothwell began by describing a very successful debut season for the men's team, claiming division 8 honours at the first attempt. All concerned are, of course, looking forward to life in division 7 in 2014-15. There were also encouraging signs in the upper levels of the boys underage section (under 14 and under 16), with the under sixteens backboning the Leinster Lions team for smaller clubs, culminating in the capture of the Joey O'Meara Cup. In the younger age groups numbers are on the rise and the portents are good for the future. The club fielded two teams in the South East League (women), and also competed in the Leinster Division 3/4 Cup and the IHL Cup, only defeated in the latter by eventual winners Clonakilty after an epic struggle. For the junior girls, Irene Doyle paid tribute to all who contributed their time to coaching throughout the year. The under 14s were runners up in the West Leinster Plate, while local school, Colaíste Bríde (made up entirely of club members) captured the under 18 "A" league.
The meeting then looked forward to the future, and much discussion focused on club coaching. There was general agreement on the need to develop coaching throughout the club in order to maximise playing potential for all in the club, while those in attendance were informed that consideration is being given to developing a "Director of Hockey" position.
