Enniscorthy under 12 girls have had a very busy weekend of hockey. On Saturday the 3rd 4th 5th and 6th class teams played a blitz hosted by Gorey and on Sunday a group of 4th and 5th class players travelled to Wicklow for a blitz involving Wicklow and Greystone’s.
It was obvious on both days that a lot of work has been done this season. The standard of hockey has really improved and all of the girls must be complimented on their level of skill. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude is evident from the side lines and it is clear that the players are really enjoying the game.
Results on both Saturday and Sunday were very much in Enniscorthy favour and it was particularly interesting to see the girls performance against Wicklow and grey stones. Standard of hockey in South East has definitely improved and it is good to see the Enniscorthy girls travelling north and winning 15 games out of 15!
