Enniscorthy's season has gotten off to a rather rocky start, while the Dublin side entered the game with two draws and a defeat in their opening three league games. The visitors drew first blood, David Simmons scoring with a clever deflection of a first-time shot from a short corner.
One ahead at the break, coach Donal Doyle shuffled his pack, Medcalf switching to midfield while English moved up front. The hosts manage to pull themselves back into the game, though, AJ McCabe bagging the equaliser. Edmundas Luikimas then restored the Wexford side's lead, netting after scrappy play following a short corner. Suttonians were not finished, however, McCabe getting his second of the game, once again scoring from a short corner.
Enniscorthy tried hard to get their first win of the campaign, John McWey going close with an effort that was bound for the top corner of the net but the home 'keeper clawed the ball out of the way to ensure matters remained even at the end.
