Enniscorthy U16 girls took on Carlow on Saturday in the Astro Active Centre. A great game of hockey was played by our local girls putting Carlow under pressure from the very start. Unfortunately Carlow were awarded a short corner which was executed brilliantly to give the only score of the first half. Enniscorthy had most of the possession. Defending very well with Kim O'Conner pulling off a lot of great saves Carlow managed to score a second goal with minutes to go. well done to all the girls for putting in a great effort to Laura Smith who subbed up from U14 and Alan Smith who umpired game. Our girls defended very well, with Kim O'Connor pulling off a number of great saves. Carlow managed to score a second with minutes remaining.
