Enniscorthy's best goal chance came in the first half when Catherine Oakes' shot went wide after good build up play involving Byrne, Kelly and Hickey. Carlow were full value for their performance, showing why they are currently top of the league, winning three penalty corners over the course of the first half, as well as converting three chances over the course of the game and having a potential fourth – from yet another penalty corner – disallowed.
Enniscorthy lost 0-3 but the side were lucky to have Redmond in goal, as without her efforts, this could have been a greater defeat for the hosts.
