A team representing Enniscorthy U10 boys travelled to Dublin last Sunday to play in a blitz. The competition was very efficiently hosted by the friendly Weston Hockey Club, which in based near Lucan in Dublin. 7 boys donned the purple shirts to give a very fine display of hockey to all the supporters. The first opposition were from the home club which beat us narrowly. Enniscorthy were unlucky not to score as they hit the post on two occasions, first the left post and then a couple of minutes later the right post. The second match was against the green shirts of Glenanne, which we come out victorious against and the third and final game was against Three Rock Rovers. The youngsters made no mistake here and apart from a few breakaway chances Enniscorthy had the upper hand from the get go.
The seven lads played superbly as a complete team with all members making their contribution in whatever position they were asked to play.
